Please be advised that a nationwide general strike has been confirmed in Italy for Thursday, 12 December. This industrial action is expected to affect multiple sectors, including the transport, logistics, and terminal operations.
Disruptions to terminal operations across key Italian ports and intermodal hubs
Delays in container movements, both import and export
Possible interruptions to trucking, rail, and last-mile delivery services
Flow-on delays for cargo connecting via Italy to other European or global routes
These impacts may affect both Australian and New Zealand customers importing from or exporting to Italy, as well as transshipment cargo routed through Italian gateways.
Our Italy branch will continue to operate as normal; however, their ability to move cargo may be constrained by national strike actions and third-party disruptions.

Allowing additional lead time for shipments to or from Italy
