Patrick Terminal at Fisherman Islands, Brisbane, will suspend all ship and yard operations on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, between 07:00 and 23:00 AEST, to carry out yard infrastructure and system maintenance. The notice was issued by Patrick Terminals on 4 June 2026 and distributed to the freight industry via the Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA).

What this means for your cargo

During the Tuesday shutdown (07:00–23:00), no containers will be accepted for receival, no deliveries will be available for collection, and no vessel operations will take place. This affects:

  • Import collections — containers at Patrick Fisherman Islands will not be accessible during the shutdown window
  • Export receival — the terminal will not accept cargo on Tuesday during the affected hours
  • Vessel operations — any scheduled vessel activity during this period will not proceed

What to do now

If you have cargo moving through Patrick Fisherman Islands this week, review your transport bookings, VBS slots, and export cutoffs now. Any bookings falling within the 07:00–23:00 window on Tuesday will need to be rescheduled, either outside that window or to an alternative day.

Full operations are expected to resume from the Wednesday 10 June midnight shift onwards.

KLN Oceania is monitoring the situation and coordinating with relevant parties to minimise disruption to your shipments. Contact your KLN account manager directly if you have cargo that may be affected.
