Please be advised that DP World Brisbane (DPBNE) remains fully closed, with an estimated 48-hour disruption following critical infrastructure damage at the terminal.
DP World has confirmed that critical power infrastructure supplying four Automated Stacking Cranes (ASCs) was damaged during civil works, resulting in:
Complete in-gate and yard closure
Severe delays to all container movements
Suspension of all road operations
DP World is implementing:
Back-up power solutions
Prioritised handling of reefer containers
Manual handling plans for moves where safe and possible
An early assessment indicates that the outage impacts will likely extend for up to 48 hours, potentially pushing well into next week due to backlog recovery.
This is expected to cause:
Significant delays to wharf collections and dehires
Disrupted delivery windows across the wider Brisbane logistics network
Potential flow-on impacts depending on how quickly operations can stabilise once power is restored
DP World has confirmed the following support measures:
Imports
Free time extensions for all affected import containers
Exports
Late receival waivers for export containers
KLN will continue to notify customers directly about any containers impacted.
Due to the length of this outage and the expected backlog:
Please anticipate delays into next week for all DPW-Brisbane movements
Plan for rescheduling of collections and dehires
Allow sufficient buffer for time-sensitive shipments
Further updates will be issued as more information becomes available
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this major operational disruption. KLN will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they are released by DP World Brisbane.
