We wish to advise that one of our carriers has reported interisland freight disruptions following temporary road closures between Picton and Christchurch overnight.

Current Situation

• All major road routes — including the Kaikōura Coast and Lewis Pass — were temporarily closed overnight due to unforeseen circumstances.

• The routes have now reopened, but carriers are experiencing delays as they work to clear accumulated freight backlogs.

Operational Impact

• Interisland transit times may be extended over the coming days.

• Delivery schedules may be adjusted while carriers recover normal service levels.
