SYD Sydney – Empty Depot Closures Due to High Winds - August 27

Please be advised that high wind conditions in Sydney are impacting depot operations.

Key Update:

• DP World Port Botany (CTLPB) has confirmed all empty areas are closed until further notice.

• Both Direct Empty Returns and Stack Runs have been suspended.

• Trucks currently en route or waiting will incur futile charges.

• Alternate off-hire facilities must be used for Direct Empty Returns.

Operational Impact:

• Delays and short-notice timeslot cancellations may occur.

• Other depots may follow with similar closures as winds continue.

• KLN will continue to do all possible to dehire empties within the free period, however:

  • KLN will not be held liable for container detention incurred during this weather event.

  • Additional charges may apply for cancellations and futility.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will let you know as soon as depots confirm resuming of operations.
