SYD - Sydney – High Winds Causing Empty Park Closures - November 17 2025

Please be advised that high wind conditions across Sydney are causing empty container parks to close at short notice. DP World Port Botany has confirmed that all empty areas are now closed until further notice.

Operational Impact

• All Direct Return Empties and Stack Runs have been suspended due to safety requirements.

• Truck arrivals at affected depots may result in futile charges.

• Redirections to alternate off-hire facilities may occur without prior notice.

• Additional timeslot cancellations may take place as conditions change.

KLN Operational Response

• KLN will make every effort to dehire empties within free time and maintain delivery commitments.

• However, please note KLN cannot be held responsible for detention charges arising from weather-related closures or short-notice depot shutdowns.

The situation is being closely monitored, and we will provide further updates as soon as the empty parks confirm reopening.
